Hitler was Austrian, is there a correlation with Austria's latest horror?

Supposedly Fritzl is claiming that he did what he did cuz he grew up in Nazi occupied Austria...but I don't buy that for a second. He STILL knew right from wrong, and he obviously planned this horrible crime, so any so-called "unfortunate" childhood is not an excuse.
